Temple Electric Recorder has become a realized effort with the help of long-time friend and co-conspirator, Hugh Pool. Hugh is a full time musician, engineer and producer based in Brooklyn, NY. Owner of Rock Facilitator LLC (formerly Excello Recording) Hugh has worked with an extensive client list including Michael Gira (Swans, Angels of Light), Debbie Harry (Blondie) Richard Hell and many more.

Hugh has been involved with layout design, concept refinement and vibe adjustment here at Temple Electric. As well as Hughs technical input, he has also contributed some very special and rare gear including a set of Altec 604 “Big Red” monitors and a beautiful pair of Starbird boom stands. These stands and monitors spent their earlier life in service at the Hit Factory in NYC, where they were part of some of the most iconic recordings of all time including tracks from The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, U2. In fact, Meatloafs “Bat Out of Hell” was mixed on these very Big Reds as the studio wasn’t completed and these were the only monitors in the room!

Hugh Pools ongoing collaboration not only includes contributions to Temple Electric Recorder itself, but also with Bryn and their continuing recording/ performing project, Pig Milk Johnson.

Credit must also be given to MoonStation Burning bandmate and friend, Nick DeMaio. Nick and Bryn formed psychedelic-fusion project MoonStation Burning in 2011 and continue the project currently. Nick has contributed not only several guitar amplifiers to the studios gear roster but also countless hours helping with construction and moral support. Without his participation, the studio would not exist in the form it has become.

Nick, who resides in Pittsburgh, PA, has continued his education as a Licensed Professional Counselor by being accepted into Naropa University’s brand new Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies certification program. Upon completion, Nick will be a fully licensed psychedelic therapist.
